What visitors can expect
The first exhibition after the extensive renovation of the Gasometer will show the beauty of nature and the influence of humans on their environment from spring 2021. "The Fragile Paradise" takes visitors on a visually stunning journey through water, forest and desert worlds. Impressive, award-winning photographs and videos show animals and plants in their changing habitats, but also human intervention in the fragile ecosystem of the earth. Thanks to the latest 3D technology, exhibition visitors can virtually explore the world's largest rainforest reserve and slip into the role of various inhabitants of this primeval forest. The highlight of the exhibition is a monumental sculpture of the earth in the 100-metre-high airspace of the Gasometer, onto which high-resolution, up-to-date satellite images are projected.
