The Oberhausen Gasometer:
High point of the Cultural Capital 2010
RUHR.2010: next year the Ruhr is the Cultural Capital of Europe.
Gasometer Oberhausen will then once again play an outstanding part. As one of seven ‘high points‘ of the Ruhr Metropolis it provides not only a unique view across the variety of this region. Next year, the Gasometer will again be the scene of an exhibition ranking among the most spectacular events of RUHR.2010.
The Gasometer was definitely the appropriate, outstanding place for that purpose, said the Project Curator Prof. Karl-Heinz Petzinka at a press conference in Oberhausen’s landmark, since, "There is nothing bigger in the Ruhr!"
